Holaaa! This week once again we did TONS of service. Over the last transfer and a half we've been helping this family build a house. We've made the concrete walls and tile flooring. I'm pretty much a pro at house making not gonna lie. This week we sanded and painted the walls. Always a fun time serving with all the elders!
Zone conference was this week which is always a good time. It's fun here in Trinidad, because we're so isolated so our zone conference is just 1 district. For lunch I had spicy alligator which was SO good! Definitely recommend. It was pretty funny seeing all the Latino elders die of how spicy it was! Personally, I'd relate the spice level to Wendy's spicy chicken nuggets, which are also awesome.
Today I had some cool experiences that actually have to do with my last area, Centenario! In Facebook I saw Diana Cuba, the lady we baptized on Christmas day, post a quote from Brigham Young. I also found out that 2 different ladies that Elder Haynie and I had found and taught got baptized recently! They're so awesome! It's cool to think of how different their lives were when we found them compared to now. I'm so thankful that I could meet these sweet people and help teach them the restored gospel of Jesus Christ!
Sometimes we see the fruit of our labors, and sometimes we don't. As humans we literally can only see what's right in front of our face. Only the work that we are putting in. However, we can put our trust in the Savior, because He "knoweth all things, for ALL things are present before (His) eyes"! He sees everything, and has a wise plan for everything. As long as we are striving to do His will, we don't need to fear or worry. In fact, He promises us that "he that is faithful, the same shall be kept and blessed with much fruit". So trust in the Lord, and never give up!! I challenge y'all to think of a time when you couldn't see the fruit of your labors until after, and how this experience has helped you!
