This week was insanely busy!! I said goodbye to Elder Moreno and half of the zone on Tuesday at the airport. It was a pretty sad moment for everyone, but those of us who stayed drowned our sorrows in acai and Fanta Guaraná which makes everything better!!
My new comp is Elder Ignacio. He's from La Paz, Bolivia and is a stud!! I welcomed him to the mish (and to Beni) with some acai smoothies. We're gonna have lots of fun this transfer!
This week while studying Moses 7, verse 62 really stood out to me. God is talking to Enoch about the crazy days that we now live in. The preparation for the second coming. He says "righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten." When reading this I had the thought that we, the members of Christ's church, are the righteousness sent from heaven. We've been saved and prepared for these specific times. The truth "sent forth out of the Earth" is the Book of Mormon, which literally came into these latter days from under the Earth. Together our purpose is to testify to all of the Savior Jesus Christ! When we do so, we "sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather (God's) elect." How cool!
I know that a testimony is powerful. It can be life changing! I am a personal witness. I also know that testimonies are best when shared. President Monson said "regarding one's testimony, remember, that while one willingly shares he keeps, while that which he selfishly keeps he loses." I challenge y'all to find a way this week to share part of your testimony with someone you love! I promise that you will both come closer to God by doing so!
