So this week I took a really run down plane to the middle of nowhere. I also had alligator tail and took probably 20 motorcycle taxis. On Thursday I woke up to a huge green parrot just chillin on my window. Also if you don't know what a capybara is, look it up! They're sick.
I'm now in Trinidad, barrio Villa Corina. This place is crazy awesome! I love it so much already. Our area is pretty much just lots of dirt, lots of green, and the most amazing people you'll ever meet. They are so caring and so fun! They live in such humble circumstances, but always have a smile.
My comp is Elder Moreno. He's 21 and from Cochabamba. He's a stud! He's very impressive for only being in the field for one transfer. We're gonna have a good transfer together!
My favorite moments are the spontaneous ones. Like casually talking about the gospel to your motorcycle driver as you zoom through the jungle under the stars. Turns out his sister is a recent convert in a La Paz, and he's been curious about our church and "our book". The next day we were just walking down the street and saw this guy shoveling dirt into a wheelbarrow. We stopped and asked if we could help. After helping him move dirt for 30 minutes we learned that one of his work companions just left on a mission. He's been curious about the missionaries. There are no coincidences!! God's hand is in His work, and I truly believe He will put opportunities in our path. We just need to be looking for them and have the courage to open our mouths! I challenge y'all to pray for, and be on the lookout for the spontaneous moments to open your mouth. I promise they will come :)
Happy 2022! Go make it the best year yet!
Que tengan un día bendecido!
