Ok this has been one of the craziest weeks of the mish so far!! Lots of ups and some big downs...
Tuesday I had an exchange with Elder Claros. He goes home tomorrow, so it was really cool to learn a lot from him. We helped a member see the importance of receiving the priesthood. Later we gave a lady who was really struggling a book of Mormon and a priesthood blessing. Super powerful! And of course we finished off the night by making coconut flavored pancakes.
Wednesday was tough. In the morning we got a call from President saying Elder Haynie was getting emergency transferred to a different zone. It was a big stab to the heart for all of us! It was super sad to see him go, but I'm super thankful for the time I had with him! What a cool experience getting to be comps with someone I've known for years. I'm thankful that I still have Elder Valderrama and Elder Colman to party with on Christmas!
This week we had Christmas zone conference which was definitely the highlight! Lots of elders, lots of decorations, skits, hilarious talent show, gifts, fancy dinner with waiters and all (in Bolivia??), and a Christmas devotional. Honestly, my favorite part was singing Christmas hymns with all the missionaries. It was so loud and powerful! I don't know if I've ever felt the spirit so strong outside of the temple. Just a bunch of kids from all over the world singing praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He who left His heavenly throne to come down to earth in meek and lowly circumstances. To establish His church, to show us the way and light, and most of all to provide the only way for us to return to live with our families forever. Truly the greatest gift of all!
Please pray for Diana Cuba that we can have her baptism this upcoming Saturday (Christmas day whaaat?)! She is so ready and faithful! I hope you all have the best Christmas week ever. And try to feel más Christ this Christmas...
