What an exciting week! We had lots of opportunities to teach members and "interested persons" aka our teachers' alter egos. Me and Elder Bailey had a really cool experience! We were told that we would be teaching return missionary members from Mexico City, and we were supposed to help them do missionary work at home. When the guy we were supposed to teach joined our breakout room (we love zoom) he said he was from Costa Rica which was a fun surprise! His Spanish was muy rapido as they like to say, but his wifi was muy not rapido... so it made the lesson even harder than normal. So fun! As we started teaching the lesson we realized that we were actually teaching this guy, rather than the return missionaries teaching us like usual. We ended up switching the lesson to the power of the Book of Mormon. For the sake of email length I'll just say that it took like 8 minutes to share one scripture, and it was supposed to be a 10 minute lesson so that's fun. After we bore our testimonies, we asked him if he would pray to know that the Book of Mormon is true. We couldn't really understand all he said, but we're pretty sure it was "I can't promise that"... so we just bore our testimonies again! After the lesson our teacher joined the break room and started talking to him in some big time Spanish. They talked forever, and they actually both started crying! Meanwhile, me and Elder Bailey were just watching like what in the world is going on?? We couldn't really understand much of what they were saying, but Hermana Sanchez was definitely going full missionary mode with this guy. The spirit was so strong! Afterwards, she told us that the guy we taught was someone she had converted on her mission, but he had been very inactive for a long time. She said that he felt the spirit during our lesson, and knew that it was from God. We were so not expecting that to happen! We were shook but it was such a cool experience.

Also, I got to meet my district this week!! After 5 weeks of seeing each other everyday on our computers we finally met in person. They're the best people ever!! On Tuesday we had a BBQ at one of the Hermana's houses, and then on Wednesday we all met up and went to the temple (so cool!) and went on a hike.

Only one more P-day at home! So crazy!
