Well last week concluded my last full week as a missionary and what an amazing week it was! So many miracles!
The biggest miracle was that on Saturday we got to go to the temple with Martin, Hui ánd Anna to do baptisms for the dead for their first time :) The spirit was so strong and so many members helped out to make it a super special experience for them! The temple president even took a few minutes with them and taught them from the scriptures and such and it was just so cool! They loved it. Afterwards, they said that they felt the spirit super strong! That was literally the best way I could've spent my last Saturday! I'm so thankful for that family and the chance that I've had to teach them and also learn so much from them. I remember their first lesson we had with them a little over 4 months ago! They are the best and gave us these way cool Chinese bookmarks as a token of thankfulness! Ahh I love them so much and it's so sad to say goodbye.
This week we somehow miraculously found 6 new people to teach. All of our potential people wanted to meet and we had lots of lessons this week! It was awesome!
I have done a lot of reflecting this week and have just been filled with a feeling of indescribable gratitude for my mission. I am so thankful for all the miracles that I've been able to experience, all the people I've been able to meet, all the friends I've made, all the things I've learned, the person I've become and I could just go on and on! Needless to say, my mission has blessed my life so much!
I am so thankful for President Youngberg and everything that he has taught me! He is easily the best mission President in the world and Elder Renlund agrees ;)
I love the Swedish people and the Swedish language and I'm going to miss it all so much!!! I also love the members here so much and they are such an example of faith, hope and charity! They are so selfless and despite all of the hardships of believing in God here in Sweden, they are not ashamed at all. They have made a huge impact on me.
On Sunday right before the closing hymn our bishop got up and said that they were going to change the closing hymn to "God be with thee till we meet again" and invited me to come and sit up on the stand so that I could see the whole ward one last time. It was an amazing experience and again I was just filled with so much thankfulness for these awesome members that do so much!!
Most of all I have just been thankful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have come to know Him better than ever before and I'm so thankful for my relationship with Him. I'm thankful for his endless love, patience and forgiveness that He shows me even though I make so many mistakes and I'm so thankful for the testimony I have obtained of His divinity. I'm thankful for the joy and peace of mind that He gives me and the fact that I don't have to be the same person that I was. Through repentance we really can become new creatures in Christ!!
I want to bear my testimony to you all one last time over email. I know that God exists. I am completely convinced that he exists and that we are his children and that he loves us so much. I know that Jeus Christ is our Savior and died for each and every one of us and will willingly forgive us for our sins if we just have faith in him, repent, and follow Him. I know that the gospel has been restored today through a living prophet and that God truly is the same yesterday, today and forever and has called another prophet to lead us through the dangers of our day! I have come to know that all these things are true through The Book of Mormon. I have spent so many hours studying it. I have prayed many times about it and I know through the power of the Holy Ghost that it is true. If you feel distant from God or are looking for peace and joy in life, immerse yourself in the Book of Mormon and I promise that you will come closer to Him and that spiritual power will flow into your life. I know this because I have done it and it really does work. I love my Savior, I love the gospel and I love my mission! I also love my family so much and I'm looking forward to seeing them on Thursday!! Thank you all for the support you have given me during these two years, I can't express my thankfulness for you all!!
Sverige ska alltid vara en del av mitt hjärta :)
