Hey everyone, I don't have the most time today but it was an exciting week, so hopefully I can get through everything! We were basically in full speed the whole week!
We had workovers this last week with the Visby Elders, so that was neat. Visby is the island on the eastern side of Sweden, so we went and picked them up from the dock and then did workovers. I got to be with Elder Jarman which was a party - and he's an AMAZING missionary! Quick funny story: We went to a certain area with the other Elders to blitz the area and the natural men inside of us decided to have a competition to see who could find a new person first. The first door Elder Jarman and I knocked on didn't answer, the second wasn't interested and then the third was a religion teacher who we taught about the Book of Mormon and set up a lesson for tonight at 7 - so we won:)
We also had Zone Conference!! It was a pretty great time. Elder Young and I gave a presentation about language study plans and we helped our friend "Elder McGuire" (our make-shift missionary) make a language study plan for different times during his mission. It went well! President also gave us lots of instruction about the importance of Preach My Gospel Chapter 3. "True doctrine, understood, changes attitudes and behavior. The study of doctrines of the gospel will improve behavior quicker than a study of behavior will improve behavior" - Boyd K. Packer. We also got training about safeguards for using technology, companionship study, and how change is good! We need to thrive not just survive!
We also went on exchanges with Eskilstuna and I got to be with my old companion Elder Buckley!!!! It was so much fun and one of my favorite exchanges. It was interesting to see how far we have both come these last 9 months :) I'm going to miss Elder Buckley a whole lot, as he goes home in one week!
On Sunday it was Mothers Day and I got to call my wonderful Mother! She truly is the greatest and the most selfless person ever :) I'm thankful for such a wonderful example that she has been for me throughout my life! She is always focused on others and is always willing to sacrifice just to put a smile on someone's face. Someone please give her the biggest hug from me because I love her so much!
Also, you may have noticed that my P day is today instead of yesterday because WE WENT TO THE TEMPLE!!! What a magical place! I truly can testify that it is the literal house of the Lord and that it is the closest we can come to heaven here on earth! There is just such a peace from being on the temple grounds and in the temple more than anywhere else, except maybe the home.
Anyways, I've gotta go! I hope that you all have a great week! We have lots of pics this week!
