Hey everyone :) This was a crazy week and we did SO MUCH!! We also had some crazy miracles that I'll talk about in a second.
We had two exchanges this last week and I had the honor of being with Elder Wolff here in Södertälje. He is a super funny guy with an insane work ethic! We had a great day together knocking doors and going by people.
The next day we all went to the temple to help plant flowers because it's that time of the year! There were about 20-25 missionaries there and we planted around 7,000 flowers total! It was just a super fun day seeing familiar faces and catching up!
On Friday we had exchanges with the Assistants and I got to be with Elder Dumas! He is one of the most inspiring people I've ever met and he is so good at showing love to every person that he talks to. We also had an amazing miracle happen! Elder Dumas and I had just finished tracting in an area that Elder Young and I felt like we needed to go to the day before. On our way back to the car we saw a family jumping on a trampoline about a street down. Elder Dumas looked at me and said "I'm going to go ask them if I can jump on their trampoline with them!" 😂 We walked over and asked and they said yes, so Elder Dumas got up and started jumping with the kids and showing off some moves and in the meantime I talked with the Mom! The first thing she said to us was "Jag tror ni har varit hemma hos mina föräldrar." (I think that you've been at my parents' place before.) It turns out that her parents were taught by the missionaries about a year ago! We started talking about what we do as missionaries and the conversation developed into how we can be with our families forever. She asked the question: "What do we have to do to live as a family forever?" It kind of caught me off guard but in my mind I was like, "I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED!" I was able to teach about the importance of being baptized and sealed with the power of God and she accepted the invitation to learn more about the gospel! PLUS IT'S A FAMILY! We got her address and it turns out that she basically lives across the street from us and was just there at that house visiting :) It was inspired that we were both at the right place at the right time. The next morning we also played innebandy with the youth in the ward and got to get to know them better which is something that we're focusing on.
Another miracle happened yesterday! Yesterday was Stake Conference and the broadcast for our ward was at 2. Our church usually starts at 10 and as we were planning the day yesterday, Elder Young thought of the idea of going to the church at 10 in case someone just showed up and didn't know about Stake Conference. So we get over there and it turns out that the Relief Society President is with her two kids in the parking lot! They have had a pretty rough situation recently because their car is broken and they live far away so they haven't been able to come to church for over a month. They had a rental car for the weekend. They were pretty dissapointed to hear that it was Stake Conference and the sad part was that they needed to have the rental car back by 3 so they wouldn't be able to make it to the broadcast... The thought came to me to call the Bishop and see if we could administer the sacrament to them and he thought it was a great idea! We were able to include the son and he prepared and blessed the sacrament. We sang songs together, had the sacrament and had a testimony meeting and it was such a spiritual experience! It was so cool and one of the best "sacrament meetings" I've ever been a part of. The Relief Society President got up and bore her testimony that she knows that God knows each and every one of us and that us being at the church at the perfect time was evidence of it. It sounds like they have had a hard time recently so it was a miracle that we were there! Later that day we were also able to give another member a blessing and the sacrament and it was just a great Sunday! God really does hold his promise to lead us to be at the right place at the right time :)
Sorry I've gotta go and I didn't have a whole lot of time to write because we went up to Stockholm, but we have lots of pics!
