1 year plus crazy miracles and changes!

Well this week has been INSANE! Where to even start?

First: MISSIONARIES ARE NOW ALLOWED TO CALL THEIR FAMILIES EVERY P DAY! I did not see any of this coming but I am hyped! Technology is such a blessing and I basically get to have Christmas every week! It was so fun to see my parents and be able to message my siblings and its just great! I love them :)

Second: I have been a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 1 YEAR. 365 days. This week I have done a lot of reflection on this last year.  What I've learned and what I've been able to accomplish and wow - what a year it has been! There have been very good times and very hard times but overall I am just feeling thankful.  I am thankful for the opportunity I have had to literally put the name of Jesus Christ on my chest and be his representative for a year.  I have learned SO MUCH but at the same time it feels like I know nothing and there is so much more to experience! I have found so much happiness in serving my Savior and understanding the paths that he walked. My testimony is stronger than it has ever been and that has brought me so much peace and happiness! I've grown to love a people that I hardly knew about a year ago and I love being able to talk to Swedish people in the Swedish language every single day! I'm so grateful that the Lord took me and made me into the person that I am. I'm thankful that he has chosen me to be his servant in the beautiful country of Sweden! I'm looking forward to another adventure filled year!

Third: We have been blessed with some amazing miracles! Here in Sweden there is an apostolic promise that there will be a "Second Harvest".  When the church first came to Sweden there were thousands that joined the church and lots of them moved to Utah to help build up Zion.  These were some of my ancestors and it was a great harvest! Anyways, Sweden has a promise that there will be a "second harvest" and thousands of Swedes will once again join the church! This is a promise that every member and missionary looks forward to, and we are trying to prepare the way for the fullness of the harvest! The blessing says that for the second harvest to come to pass, members and missionaries will have to work together more than ever. Luckily, in the last year the key to the second harvest has been revealed to us! Ministering! Ministering is the key to the second harvest and let me explain how.  There are lots of less active members here in Sweden and this week I've been able to see how missionary efforts with ministering have brought miracles! This week we were able to go on a ministering visit with one of our favorite members to minister to a less active family.  The dad was born in Chile and the son was born here in Sweden but actually got baptized in Utah when he was an exchange student there! Anyways, we were able to have a lesson with them and they also had a family friend come along and we were able to teach him, too! He is super interested and wants to continue to meet! The less active family gave great insights during the lesson and it really made an impact on their friend :) That's not all.  The son that was baptized in Utah said that he has a friend that he wants us to come have a discussion with as well! Blessings.

Another miracle this week: We have another returning member and his friend that we are working with and they came to church for the first time in a while! The ward was SO PUMPED! They were so happy to see a familiar face back in the church and that he had a friend with him! Everyone has been so excited and everyone has been telling us about how they would love to come with us on a lesson for them sometime :)

Last miracle (actually there were many more): In the area book app there is a self referral from last summer that had always caught my eye.  Apparently missionaries have never been able to get in contact with her because she is very shy and is afraid of strangers.  I had the thought to just add her on facebook this week so we did and that was all that happened.   Until Saturday night when she reached out to us through facebook saying that she would love to come to church sometime and see if the church fits her! She was out of town so she didn't come on Sunday but she wants to meet in the church and have a church tour and talk more about what we believe in! Plus she has cousins that are members!

So yeah, things have been very good and we have been insanely blessed! Thank you for all the support you all have given me this year! I appreciate everyone that reads my emails and I hope that you enjoy reading them! Here's to another great year!
