"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of Nate Agle" (Amos 8:11 Nathan Agle translation)
Okay I'll admit I've been pretty bad about writing emails. But hey the Restoration of me writting is here!
Okay so this week I said goodbye to most of my zone besides 3 who came up to Santa Clara with me! No not Santa Clara California, no Santa Clara Oregon a suburb of Eugene. So the Santa Clara zone is normally the least desirable zone but they put some rockstar missionaries here! last transfer the zone consistently put up the best numbers in the mission and now i am inheriting this sweet area!
My new companion is Elder Anderson and he's the best in the business. He showed me this Hugh Nimbly talk about leaders and managers and told me that there are no managers here. He's the best missionary I've served with. I loved all my comps so far but this guy puts up numbers. We went hard this week found 7 news. We are going to baptize! We are having so much freaking fun its ridiculous! My OYM (Open Your Mouth) game is getting strong. Our goal is to get me YSA on campus where all you do is OYM!
I still really dont know our investigators, but hopefully that'll change!
I read this quote today that may be the most amazing thing ever! "Once we enter into covenants with God, there is no going back. Giving in, giving up, and giving out are not options. In the kingdom of God, there is a standard of excellence for exaltation. It requires valiant discipleship! There is no room for average or complacent disciples. Average is the enemy of excellence, and average commitment will prevent you from enduring to the end." (Kevin W Pearson of the seventy. April 2015 conference, Stay by the tree)
Well that about sums it up. My mission dad dies (he goes home) in 5 weeks so that blows. But hey all is well in Zion!
