...So the little town I've been transferred to is called Cordon de Plata (translated in English, "Silver Shoelace"). It's a really small town with dirt streets that become really muddy when it rains (we're getting into pretty gnarly winter down here but no snow yet sadly), and the people here are mostly Bolivian immigrants here to work the fields over the summer and sometimes winter, and then they leave back to Bolivia.
In this new area, we've seen some extreme living conditions. Down here in the southern part of the Mission area (and with the onset of winter in the southern hemisphere), it gets pretty 'gnarly' for some of these people but we're doing what we ca for them.
However, the always remarkable human race finds happiness, laughs, raises families, and a whole lot of good people are found in even the most challenging of circumstances.
I don't have a whole lot of time today, but pictures, and a larger email to follow next time! Take care, and enjoy the coming summer up there! ...Love you all!
