This week was awesome! Comp. exchanges! Zone Conferences! lingering sickness - and lots of walking anyways! All that jazz and more en la obra del señor.
First things first thanks to those of you who've been asking if I've gotten better since I've been down and out with cold and flu and -- whatever it was that I was out with. The good news is I'm better! The bad news? My companion got worse -- he's been pretty sick this last week so we've been taking some time to make sure he rests up and to help him recover. "And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength." (Mosiah 4:27)
This means I've had plenty of time familiarizing myself with the 4 walls of our apartment this last week, reading lots of scriptures (I finished an in depth study of Ecclesiastes [one of my dad's favorites] this week -- would highly recommend it to any and all), and playing lots of chess with myself and my companion (when he feels up to it). It sounds lame I know, but I get bored bouncing between all the books, all the time.
In other news, I did get to go on companion exchanges with my Colombian friend the next area over which was a awesome. We worked hard, we laughed harder, and we had a lot of fun doing it! We ended our exchanges with Interviews with or Mission President, which is always inspiring. Zone Conference happened the very next day, which was also a lot of fun -- about the only sad part about all of this is that I can't send pictures because there's a "paro nacional" right now (I don't remember what that translates to in English), so everything's closed and they buses aren't working. I'm on a loaned mini laptop writing this and it reminds me of the HP mini I had during middle school. Rest assured that I will be sending double the amount of pictures this next week! That's about all this now. Take care and I'll catch you next time!
