4th Mission Assignment - Los Pinos

Elder Espinoza

Chilean slang, Service, Interviews, and - - TRANSFERS

Hola amigos y familia,

This week went by pretty tranquilo (nothing too crazy happened)... We walked a lot, worked on service projects, had interviews, and then transfers at the end of the week.
This Monday we had a Zone wide Barbeque which was the last P-day of some of the Sister Missionaries who were headed out at the end of the week (they're on north bound airplanes as I write this email), off to start the next chapter of their lives.
Tuesday we had companion exchanges during Halloween (sadly not celebrated here in Argentina, but it's all good). We observed Halloween anyway as Elder Espinosa dressed up as me (with my name tag) and I as he (with his name tag)... Nobody noticed, and nobody was scared by our costumes at all - jajajaja!
Wednesday and Thursday, we worked on service projects. Lots of walking, lots of visiting people, and lots of teaching investigators.
In Friday we had interviews with President Panzacchi, which was great! He's really an inspired leader and it's always an awesome opportunity to receive counsel and answers to questions right from the top (of our Mission leadership that is)...
Saturday was when we helped out Senora Hilda with all of the Niños - which is always a highlight. We're planning on making it a weekly thing because this remarkable little woman cares for these underprivileged children all by herself every day. The least we can do is stop by every so often when the occasion permits to help her out.
We also received the Transfer news Saturday night, I'm staying here with Elder Espinoza for another transfer! He's a great guy, a great friend, and I'm looking forward to it.
Elder Burnett got washed out of his area and is headed out to San Juan during the summer (meaning triple digit temps with frequency - so that'll be a lot of fun for him).
Well - that's the news on this end! Looking forward to a great upcoming week in the work of the lord!

Vaya Con Dios,
Elder Bigley.

P.s. The computers on this end aren't too good, so I'll try to get pictures out next week... Sorry!
