Well Dad, most of our time is spent tracting. I love it cause a lot of people out here don’t even know what a Mormon is, so it is kind of fun talking with those people. It is also so fun talking with the true okie-talkers. It is so crazy how much they can talk.
For your morning scripture study I would suggest studying with purpose. I just read one of the coolest chapters, in 2 Nephi 29. It built my testimony even more so, than what it was. It helps to truly have a question in your minds as you study. Going through the Preach My gospel by topic might help too.
I have truly been finding joy in my service this last week. I have been actually trying to make the people we contact laugh, so that they are more open to what we have to say. And I have found it really easy to hand them the BOM when talking with them. Once they have it in hand, it’s there and we don't take it back.
This last week was pretty brutal. We were out biking and I turned to look over my shoulder at some other people across the road and, well, that was the end of my ride haha. I hit the side of the curb and it wouldn’t let me get away from it, and then there had to be a drainage gate to just do me in, so I went over those handle bars…. did a front flip onto my back…. and just laid there for a moment. It was loads of fun to go flying thru the air. When it was happening I reminded myself that it will only hurt more if I tense up so I went completely relaxed. It was a lot of fun ;) haha! There was another guy on his bike who rode to my side to help me up and to see if I was ok. Then when I looked at the other side of the road, about 10-15 people were playing basketball. And there were also 2 women across the way that saw me wreck. Haha! So I have a scrape on my elbow and my hand but that is about it. What an eventful day.
We also had Zone P-Day this week and it was so much fun but we had to go all the way down into Ada, so we used a lot of our miles. Then some of us stayed at the ZL's apartment because it was too late to go back to our apartments. My trainer had to go to OKC for a meeting and so I went home with the other companionship and was with them for the day. The cool thing was that it was our day for the car so I got to drive for the first time on my mission.
So I am sore from working out and from the crash. I am just having a jovial time over here. :) To add to it, I kind of broke my bike seat and I have totally obliterated the shoulder bag that I came out with but that is ok because it still works but it now looks like I am an experienced missionary. :)
We had three investigators come to church yesterday and it was awesome to be able to see them there and talk about it with them. And this last week we also set a baptismal date with Don, who is the one who came to church. He is such an awesome guy.
