Oh wow, this week was some good good times. First off, today is war. It'll be a clean battle but it’s a mission wide, once a year, apartment cleaning competition! President realized that sometimes missionaries hate moving to certain areas because they hear the apartment is gross, so we are all going to take care of the problem and make everything sparcklin’ clean!
Also! I had exchanges with my zone leader Elder Davis, and we saw miracles! Found some really cool people, had a baptismal interview with their investigator JiLong (I just call him Chicken Dragon), and just had a good time:) In the morning we got up at 5am to go to run the stake 5k. Elder Davis and I were sitting pretty in 4th place, and then the person with the road arrows pointed the 3 people in front of us down the wrong road so we took the lead and won—I guess. I don’t know if that counts as a dub haha I’m still cramping 2 days later.
Also! We had some good ole zone conference. President also announced that starting next transfer we will be reading the Book of Mormon from start to finish as a mission and finishing by Christmas. I love this! I think that so much power is behind reading the Book of Mormon straight through. I know it is the most perfect book upon the face of the earth today and will bring you so much happiness.
I hope everyone in the path of Hurricane Florence is safe and hopefully also dry, but read Helaman 5:12:
12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
I’m praying for all those that have been affected so far. Play it safe!
