This week was full of meetings and interviews with the new president and exchanges with some other elders and ward activities!! Kind of crazy but it was all so good. A typhoon is coming and I'm super excited!
The new president, President Card is such a cool humble guy and is perfect for our mission. As he was telling us of some of his mission experiences, I was able to relate so much and it was such a testimony that he is the one who is supposed to be here!
After interviews on Thursday, I went back to MingJian with Elder Su. MingJian has a beautiful train ride through the mountainous countryside on a sketchy track and it was so peaceful. Elder Su is a humble convert from Taipei and he is the definition of faith. A lot of converts in Taiwan have family who do not support them believing in Christianity, so when Elder Su came on a mission he only told his mom and sister. His dad doesn't even know he is on a mission, let alone baptized!
I feel so blessed to be raised in the gospel, but sometimes I take it for granted. Some people have to sacrifice more than others, life is simply like that, but we can always sacrifice more! Sacrifice is beautiful and it humbles us and allows us to grow!
Sacrifice some time and read the Book of Mormon, its a good book!
