Elder Matthew Bertha

Albert Einstein once said that there are only two ways you can live your life, as if nothing is a miracle or as if everything is a miracle.

This week I went on exchanges with Elder 李 in their area, which is pretty massive. We took the train up to this place called JiJi. It was overcast and just beautiful. One of those places that is touristy during some times of the year, but right now it is kind of abandoned and peaceful. Elder 李 s companion let me use his helmet, but I accidentally placed it on another elder’s bike that was supposed to be picked up and sent somewhere else. They took Elder 李s companion’s helmet with it when they picked up the bike. Sorry...

This week we have found a bunch of people that live outside of our area, because today is 端午節 which is a holiday and most people come home to be with family. They eat this rice triangle things wrapped in bamboo leaves that is super yummy.
We found some kids that are willing to have the lessons using LINE so we started teaching them that way. It's different but will work!

Also, I gave a lesson yesterday in church on the gift of the Holy Ghost and this kind of crazy lady, who is like half Mormon half Jehovah's witness, got up and started pulling out newspapers and stuff. She was showing us how she was reading and saw MY Chinese name(馬) on the front of a headline, and then she also saw the first character (摩) of the Book of Mormon on another headline and she said it was God telling her to come back to our church...She a little crazy but she funny though. Glad she came back!

All these things are miracles even when they don't seem to be. Life is a miracle!
