4th area in Hachioji

Elder Languido

Starting to create relationships in Hachioji

This week, oh what a week. It was an okay week. It started out rough, but I managed to get through it. This week was a a little more relaxing. The reason for that was because I’m finally getting warmed up to my new area. I’m finding joy here. We also had zone conferences this week which made it different, and we had some member meals. I got to get to know the ward a little bit better and speak more Japanese and make people laugh. So I think it was a good week.

So first off, I would like to say that missions have ups and downs and good times and bad times. This week I had some hard things happen. It sucked, but I expect it to happen again in this area because, hey that’s what this life and mission are all about. It’s about learning who the freak you are and how to deal with what life throws at you.

And yes this past little while I felt like I was literally shot in the knees crawling through and trying to keep my head above water. Towards the end of this week, though, I had something click in me that just shut out all of the bad stuff and allowed me to have some smooth times. Was it easy NO! It will never be, but I saw a glimpse of what I’m all about. Maybe next time I can learn from what I’ve experienced. But aside from that, I would like to go a little more in-depth with my week.

This week we had zone conference, got bunch beds for extra Elders to stay with us, and had member meals two days in a row. We had a lesson with our investigators and just had a good time. We had some other Elders come to our house to stay for the stake blitz the next day. That was fun. We had to take them to a hospital too because one Elders hurt his small finger (forgot what it’s called). We tried to take him to a clinic. We looked up a clinic and went to it and realized it was a ladies clinic and just laughed and had fun. It was fun.

We had fun and got to eat some good food and have fun with members. It was a good week in the end. I will send pictures. Sorry I don't have a lot to say this week.

I’m getting more and more tired as the days go on. I guess that’s what happens to missionaries when they have been out for a long time...
