2nd Area: Yokohama Zone/Kohoku Area

Elder Arnett

A transfer is happening

Yeah don't send beef jerky unless you don't put it in the declaration. Yeah this week is transfer week. I don't know if I will stay or go, but I think I might stay one more because they are making our apartment 4 people again instead of two.

This week was an exhausting one, and it's been raining like all week. And so with that comes cooler weather, like way cool, and also sickness. My companion got sick last week with a cold, and I think I kind of picked it up.

I sent more pictures this week of basketball and an art exhibit we went to with an English class student.

This week didn't do a whole lot. Just the same old. We had Scout English class and normal English class.

There are three things that I thought were worth sharing. First was that Saturday was so busy. We first went to play basketball with our friend Francis and our Elders quorum because it was his mission going away party. Then went to Shabu Shabu, which is a restaurant that is all you can eat meat. You cook it in different sauces and it's so good... probably going to go back today as a district.

Then went straight from that to an art exhibit with and English student. We saw a bunch of paintings from other students in his class. That was that for that day, and man it was so tiring.

Then on Sunday we got this phone call from a person we met a month ago. (We literally had a 5 minute conversation max with him then). But he called us and said, "Hey I want to learn more about Christ and all that." We are like okay we have church today, want to come? He said yes. So he came. Note, he said this at 100 plus miles an hour in Japanese. So he came to church, loved it and wants to learn more. The only thing is he is a little off but very nice so that's good. To give a little background on this guy, he is like 30's, has no work, was part of the Japanese mafia ( is what he says), and he had some shady work and is feeling guilt and wants to not have the guilt I think. But he is interesting. So now he is an investigator.

This week was rainy, colder and exhausting. We get transfer emails today and I will find out if I stay or go...... crap I hate this part because I don't want to pack all my crap up and move. But I want to maybe go to a new area. I don't know, I can't make up my mind ever... oh well.
