What a week straight from Heaven! Santa Cruz is making preparations to become the next city of Enoch!
Tuesday we brought the May Pen Elders into our area for a trade off and and loads of fun biking! I hadn't biked in like a month (PRAISE THE LORD ALMIGHTY FOR OUR TRUCK <3 ) But it was actually such a fun day! All of our appointments kept and that is like unheard of in the missionary world I think so we celebrated with ice cream at a place called Mothers. It is BYU creamery level good and I even got pralines cream!
The mission is placing a huge influence on the BOM and asking literally everyone we conversate with to be baptized! We have a goal of 1820 baptisms by next Sept. We are so so jazzed and exicted! COOL EXPERIENCE: It was about 8 o clock in Santa Cruz and I had already challenged a lot of people to be baptized and even gotten free jerk chicken from a good samaratin and felt alright so I was talking to this Hot Dog vender and he told me he was from Panama so I said "Tu Hablas Espanol?" and he was like "Si y tu tambien yo se" meaning and "and you do to I see" we talked in english and had a very spiritual contact and I read three passages in the BOM with him. He loved Alma 26 about not boasting in our own strength. He lives in the Sisters Area but I am so excited for them to teach him! The spirit was very strong depsite the loud town around us. Just a very awesome contact and moment of my week!
Thursday we went to Kingston so like a 1 1/2 hour drive and had mission leader council at the mission home and Sister Pearson made MEXICAN FOOD for lunch so I about was translated right then and there! Seriously my heart was full of joy and rice and beans and lettuce haha it was MUY FELIZ to have mexican food for the first time in many many months! We talked a lot about increasing our faith to take our mission out of the gutter it has been in since it's inception in the 80's and how to have South America type sucess in this blessed land! I feel so excited!! That night, we stopped in Mandeville at a stush restaurant called Star Grill on the way home to celebrate my 1 year mark and yeah it was so good! The Campbell's family, my recent convert family in Portmore sent me a gift basket and yeah that was so so nice and fun to hear from them!
We had zone p day today, see picture below!
