We had another good week here in Alexandria! The weather has shot straight into summer, we pretty much skipped spring this year. We had 4 days that were either high 80's and into the 90's. You add humidity to that and it is just awesome. It's pretty weird sweating a ton again, it's been a really long time since it has been warm. It felt pretty good though, I already have a sweet tan line from my watches. Ive actually already gotten pretty tan. Elder Fisher and I both have awesome lines on our necks from the collars of our shirts, so we laugh at those pretty much every night.
This week we originally had a whole bunch of lessons set up, but I think all but maybe 2 of them fell through. It's funny just how often that happens to us, but it's all good. We had a good lesson on Saturday with a lady named Brenda. She could be a solid investigator, or she may just want someone to talk to. We're not really sure yet. We ran into quite a few mean people this week, it was pretty dang funny. One lady just straight up yelled at us to keep walking before we even saw that she was there. We tried talking to her anyway and that just made her more mad. One cool thing that happened this week was, all the district leaders got to attend mission leadership council! President Huntsman is just about to start his last transfer, and so he wants us to get 50 baptisms as a mission in June. Now for some of you in Brazil or the Phillipines that might not seem like that much ;) but for us it's a pretty high goal. We're totally going to get it though and it'll be awesome. We get transfer info this week, but I'm pretty much guaranteed to stay so I'm not too worried about it. Other than that, not a whole lot else to report! Time is flying.
Scripture of the week is 2 Nephi 25:26! "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins."
Everything we do as members should be about Jesus Christ! Elder Holland has said that whatever the question is, the answer is the gospel of Jesus Christ. And that is so true! With Him to help us and guide us we can get through any trial or difficulty we face. He is our great Examplar, and I love Him so much! Thanks for all you do, I hope everyone enjoys talking to all your missionaries this week! Love you all.
