The Lord is our Hope

Hey everyone. It's been another rough week but I'm so happy and grateful to be here. I'm having one of those moments of realization where I'm like: How amazing that I'm out here! What an opportunity to preach the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and fulfill the Savior's Commission. I'm so grateful to be a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I wanted to give you a quick update on our investigator Nuvia. We decided to try and go back again and this time get her boyfriend to listen to the discussions. Guess what, he actually listened to us! It was awesome! He has a bit of a long way to go in order to be baptized and it'll be a process, but it will be better this way because Nuvia really loves him and wants him to accept the gospel along with her. He has a lot of challenges to overcome but we're going to go forward with faith that the Lord will help Him to see what Nuvia sees in the church. As always I'm learning a lot. This week I learned that The Lord is always with us. At all times, whether good or bad, He is with us. I also was reminded of a marvelous truth. God loves us! That's something I've always known, but this week it became clearer to me. It's a completely different perspective when you really start to think about it. God loved us so much that he made a perfect plan of redemption through His perfect Son Jesus Christ. Through His atonement we are forgiven of sins, redeemed from physical death, and given strength to press forward through trials knowing that He is there. The Lord is our hope and our light. We can trust Him because He sees the big picture. I love Him so much and I know He is there. I love a quote that I saw this week from President Nelson: "Jesus Christ is Joy." That pretty much sums it up! Love you all and have a great week!
