Hey! How’s it going?! This week was crazy! We lost a lot of time working in our area because of baptismal interviews, companion splits, missionary leadership training meeting, and a long trip to the immigration office. It was wild. But we ended the week well. The missionary leadership training meeting was awesome, and we learned a lot. Our new mission President has a ton of new great ideas and we’re trying to put them into practice and we’re seeing the blessings. It’s amazing how the Lord works especially with revelation. President Cristales was definitely called by revelation to be here and he’s awesome.
One of the best highlights of this week was that I got to see Elder Clement!!! That was a sweet reunion. I was worried I wasn´t going to see him before I finished the mission, but I was able to see him which was awesome! And he´s doing great! His Spanish is improving a ton which is also great. I’m so proud of him and the progress he’s made. He’s working hard in his area in Santa Barbara. He’s about to finish 6 months in that area and he’s loving it. It was so cool to catch up with him.
Today we started doing a deep cleaning of our house because of the new instruction from our Mission President’s wife to make our houses the cleanest they can be so that the Spirit can be felt strongly in our houses. We didn’t finish cleaning the house, but we started and it’s looking a lot better. Mom, that’s gotta be an improvement from before when I didn’t even start to clean….haha.
This week was a bit difficult with everything we had to do but I’ve found that when we choose the Savior over the world he never abandons or forsakes us. Something else I’m learning goes along with what Elder Neil L. Anderson said, "Your faith will grow not by chance, but by choice." It’s so true! We need to do things that require faith in order to increase our faith. This week I’ve also felt so much the Savior’s infinite love for every single one of us. I also felt the spirit testify to me powerfully in church yesterday that we are children of God. As we follow God’s plan and center our lives in Jesus Christ we find joy. I have understood more and more what Nephi explained when he said, "we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." I know my Redeemer lives.
Have a great week love you all!
