I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go

Buenas a todos! Una noticia.... Yo tengo cambios!!! Or in other words, I have transfers tomorrow! I´m leaving Mochito! But I´m also not going too far away! I´m still in the same zone but I will be in an area called Morelos which is still in the Potrerillos Stake! It´s only about two hours away from where I am now. It is lower in elevation though and it´s super hot down there so I´ll be missing the relatively cool weather up here in Mochito. My current companion Elder Burt will finish his mission here in Mochito and he will be training a new missionary for the last three months of his mission. I also already know who my new companion is! His name is Elder Pututau and he is from Salt Lake City, Utah. I still find it hard to believe that I'm going to have another gringo companion ha ha. I already know Elder Pututau a little because he´s been in my zone for the last 6 weeks. He´s a cool guy. He only has 6 weeks left in the mission so I´ll be his last companion! I'm a little sad to leave Mochito because I love it here so much and the weather is nice and the people are amazing. At the same time, I'm so excited to get to know Morelos! I'm also a little sad that I won´t be present for the baptisms of Betzy and Vanessa and her family. I know that this is not what it's about and that I am needed in Morelos and that the Lord is sending me there. Anyways, I will have more to share about Morelos next week!

Just one funny story from this last week ha ha. We were teaching our investigator Rolin and his family. While we were teaching, his mom asked me "orque tiene esas manchitas por todos lados?" or in English "Why do you have so many little stains everywhere?" She was referring to my freckles ha ha. She told me that I must have got them from the hot sun in Honduras. I told her I've kind of always had them but she had a hard time believing me ha ha.
I loved General Conference this weekend. What an honor we had to sustain President Nelson as the prophet today and hear his words and revelations for us today. I received a confirmation that I can´t deny from the Spirit that President Russell M. Nelson is the Lord´s prophet and it was amazing to see all of the changes to improve the work through modern revelation. I am so grateful for the leadership in this church what a blessing. I also came to the conference with some questions about how to improve as a missionary and they were all answered and it was amazing! I want to testify of our prophet today President Nelson. He has been called to lead the saints in this time and he is being guided by the Lord.
For my spiritual experience this week I want to talk about yesterday. We had a lesson last night with a reference who has come to church named Axel and his mom. We had a lesson with them yesterday on Easter Sunday and we taught them the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I really focused on asking inspired questions and searching for the need. We talked about how we could return to Heavenly Father because of Jesus Christ. I then asked Axel´s mom, Who is Jesus Christ? And she responded, My Savior. The spirit filled the room and the rest of the lesson was guided by the spirit and both Axel and his mom accepted the invitation to be baptized. I know that when we talk to people about Jesus Christ they can remember him and their desire to come unto him will deepen because he really is our Savior, the Redeemer of our souls.
Another cool experience was that I´ve been reading in Jesus the Christ and I somehow timed it just right so that I was reading about the end of Christ´s life here on earth in line with the actual Easter timeline. On Thursday I read about the atonement, on Friday about his crucifixion and on Sunday about his Resurrection. I know that he is my Savior and your Savior. He has paid the price for all of our sins and has felt all of our pains. Please turn to him. Dieter F. Uchtdorf said that the greatest day of our lives is when we decide to turn to him and accept his atoning sacrifice. I love him and am ever grateful for the Son of God my Savior.
I hope you all had a great Easter and I love all of you have a great week!
Next letter from Morelos!

Elder Ludlow
