First week at the MTC is going great and I'm loving it here in Guatemala. Its been an intense week with lots of learning, lots of studying and lots of speaking Spanish. But my Spanish is definitely improving. Its cool here in Guatemala because its a full-on immersion into the Spanish language. If you don't know a word you learn it and practice it. You have to ask permission to speak English and the teachers usually say no ha ha. But the teachers here are awesome and I'm loving it. The food is also pretty good. There have only been a few meals I've had to gag down quick and swallow down with chocolate milk. The chocolate milk here is AMAZING it tastes like melted chocolate. I'm in District Mateo in Rama or Zone A at the MTC and I love my district. My companions name is Elder Allen and he's from Boise Idaho. We've been teaching well together and its been fun. The sleeping situation isn't too bad either. we have six elders in our dorm and there are three bunk beds. We've left the window open the last few nights and it's so loud here in Guatemala. You're constantly hearing honking horns and sirens and other loud noises. Its weird hearing gunshots a lot too especially when it happens in the middle of a prayer before a lesson with an investigator. But don't worry I'm completely safe and secure here at the CCM which is what we call the MTC here. I'm loving it and I'm learning so much about the gospel. My testimony grows each day and I know that I am where I'm supposed to be. This is the work of the Lord. Jesus is our Savior and his gospel is the only true gospel on the earth. Dios nos ama y su evangelio restaurado es muy especial. Digo estas cosas en el nombre de Jesucristo nuestro Salvador, Amen. I love you all and Ill write again next week!
