Week #56

Wow! Solid dope week this past week. To start the week out we were teaching Luis and things were going awesome, then this aunt came in the room and started bible bashing. I just let her say all of her stuff and then I let her have it. It was kinda funny, but she made me so mad cause she walked in and ruined our lesson. I tried real hard to be nice at first, but she just keep digging and digging, so I just had to say my own peace. haha Anyway, we had two baptisms yesterday for Ana and her son, Emilian. Ana is the lady who has struggled a little bit. She was raped at the age of 18. She isn't sure how she had her son. She said she just mentally checked out and is really messed up from the experience. Her family is into witchcraft too so that kinda tells you a little about what we've been up against with her. I feel kinda bad for her son who has watched some crazy stuff happen with his mom. We have helped her a lot and she thanked us so much after we baptized her. She said, "you have no idea how much you guys have helped me and thanked Elder Crosby and myself."

On Sunday, we had to give talks in church. They asked us on Friday and I was like, shoot I don't have time to prepare because of the baptisms, so when Sunday rolled around I got up and talked about the story of Job and the trials in his life and then I shared my own personal story with my family. I may have shed a tear or two, but it went really well. I relied on the spirit, God put words in my mouth and before I knew it I had been talking for over 10 minutes so I called it good. lol A lot of members told me they liked my talk, so at least somebody got something from my rambling.

Overall, this week has been really good. We've been working super hard and having success. We also had to kill our own dinner this past week and the main dish was rabbit. We had to take the rabbits in the street and knock them over the head with a stick, skin em, gut em and then cook them and you know what? They were soooooo good! I was surprised at how good they were to eat. I'll spare ya the videos of the preparation and just share one picture that I'm sure my mom will love!

One last thing, Elder Renlund is coming to speak to our mission on Friday, so that will be super cool to hear him speak. Hope everyone is doing well. Have an awesome week everyone!
