Elder Bird

Fill the Chapel

Well, I had a crazy week again. I thought that I would be finishing the training of Elder Queroga, but President Johnson had some more revelation and he sent Elder Queroga to Tarlac for his last transfer. That way he is close to the mission office when he leaves for Guam.

I got a new Companion, Elder Bird! He is super awesome! He is from Utah. He went to SUU right before he came here, and his major was Computer Science which makes us so united already! He arrived here and we had a fun time teaching like crazy. We literally TALKED WITH EVERYONE! It was really tiring, but we were truly blessed, as for the first time in my whole mission we had 8 people come to church this Sunday. Also two other new people came with Bishop, and we were able to teach them after church. They are trying to help their kids grow up in the gospel.

Also, we were able to eat a really good dinner with the MTC Chef again that had noodles and Alfredo sauce. It was so good!

I was so grateful today when I got to hear from the Elders from my last area. The work that I was able to start there with Elder Dumalag has truly continued! 4 of the people that we were helping have been able to enter into the waters of Baptism because of their conversion, especially to the Book of Mormon. One example, is the Nanay that was baptized. She truly read the book of Mormon everyday and tried to memorize the versus because of it. After I left, she walked like 2 miles to get to church every Sunday with her daughter and they were able to be baptized this week! I am so grateful for her example and the change that comes into their lives as they accept Jesus Christ!

Lastly, the Dizon family was able to baptize one of their daughters. The Mom decided to go ahead and let her be baptized, instead of waiting for all the rest of her family, so she could set an example! I am a little sad I wasn't there to see it, but I just wanted to share their amazing stories and their awesome conversion.

Love you all and the work is sweet!
