I, the Lord, am bound when you do what I say
This week has been so much of a blessing again. I feel like I have said that a lot, but I just feel blessed so much. We have been lead by the Lord to so many good investigators this week as we have gotten back to work and put our trust in him.
One investigator that I would like to talk about is an older man named Brother Roley. We were walking on a path on Saturday and some pretty big dogs were growling at us on the path in front of us. We are warned against dogs since there is a lot of them here, but usually they are not this angry. Elder Ronte said we probably shouldn't go that way, and so we started to turn back, but then I felt that we should stay for a little bit. As we sat there for about 5-10 minutes enjoying the view, suddenly a man came out of his house and approached us. He said that he had been taught before, and that he had felt something special when he had attended our church. He also, wasn't super good at speaking Tagalog. He spoke Ilongo, which happens to be the same language that Elder Ronte speaks. We were able to teach him, and he was super experienced in the Bible. We invited him to church and he came the next day. Also, 3 of our other investigators that we taught this week were able to attend church as well after only one lesson with them.
I have really seen that as you are obedient the lord blesses you. I was lead to a scripture in Alma 37:16-17. I really related to this scripture this week. As we follow the spirit we will be blessed with doing what the Lord wants us to do, and we will feel more happy throughout the week.
Lastly, I was able to go to SM Clark -- which is a huge super market that is basically a Mall, and it reminded me so much of America. The smell was the same. There were a lot of Americans there, and there were a lot of American fast-food restaurants like Wendy's, Burger King, and Pizza places. It was really weird as I walked around because I felt like I was back in America. We bought some new proselyting shoes for Elder Ronte because his other ones were getting holes.
- We got stuck in between two fish ponds with an angry cow that wouldn't let us through, and it took us like 30 minutes to figure out how to get around it. It was pretty funny.
- We bought a huge watermelon that was super sweet and yummy
- We talked with some really smart people this week and it was so cool to see what is contained in the Bible and the amazing gift that we have been given.
(This is true and I noticed it this week, Doctrine and Covenants 80:10
I, the Lord, am bound when you do what I say; but if you do not do what I say, you have no promise.)
Love you guys,
- Elder Klein
