Happy News Years it is 2016
Hello,
Happy NEW YEARS!!! it is 2016, and no longer 2015, it is time for us to make resolutions again.
So to tell you about my week, we had a pretty well one I just have to remember what we did.
I had an exchange with Elder Konyana, who is up in Hyde we knocked some doors, met their Ward Mission Leader.
The next day we taught their lovely Friend Sally who has been investigating for some time. She is really wonderful.
We then made our trek to Stretford and watched the baptism of Carl which happened on Wednesday, the
Sisters found Eric and he is from Jamaica.
Thursday... New Years eve. We actually taught a few lessons, to a lady who is named Amino, and she has been searching for truth, we Pray she will be able to accept the gospel and have a desire. Putting off the adversary.
We then aftersome finding time headed to our Bishops home and played a few fun games like Monopoly which I was doing pretty well till I get terrible at balancing my money and my properties in the End Game so well lets just say I didn't completely lose, just could of done better. We then
played this World Cube where you have to know things about countries. Also played a game where we had to find the words, kinda like a word search where we looked and had to find the word the quickest.
New Years day we walked a lot and took a lot of pictures, we then went with Elder and Sister Jepson and had lunch at the Trafford Center, where I ate a Gourmet Burger, it has defiantly been a while
since I have had one of those. They are really good.
We then went to the Weavers and played Scrabble and a guessing game. Which were fun, to bad we couldn't watch a Studio C video of what Dungeons and Dragons is so I can explain what I used to do, They all think it is a card game or a computer game...
The other days were okay, but Sunday was amazing, for the first time I had actual curry, here on the streets they don't sell the real stuff.
So Fiona and Roy made us tea on Sunday, and afterwards she went to the Missionary Fireside and spoke she did a really good job, I had the opportunity to introduce her.
Today we have some good plans let us see if they go through,
Best of luck,
Elder Joshua Thorpe
Q & A with Josh:
Q: So were you able to stay up tell midnight new years eve?
A: My new Years was good, I could of stayed up but I was just tired so I went to sleep. Not been the biggest of celebrators. I just go for the Games, Family, and Food. Then I just do the Celebration.
