Long week. First it was my birthday, Big 19 haha, It was rough being away from home but good news I only have one more then I'm home.
Anyway, just a few exciting things that happened this week. I've been showering out of a bucket because we haven't had running water for a week. We fill it up out of a hose from one of the members close by.
It's about 110 degrees 24/7 here (I'm dripping sweat on the keyboard right now).
There was a huge drug bust at our neighbors house . . . like 4 trucks of cops were on our street dressed up with the assault rifles and everything.. it was cool to see.
My companion is getting transferred. He will be going on a mission to bring an elder in Casas Grande back to life I will be companions with Elder Reyes he is from the Dominican Republic. He speaks little to no English so that will be fun. I'm not too worried about it because i know this is the companion that our Heavenly Father wants me to be with I know he will make me better and I have a lot of room to get better.
Anyway. last thing that happened my bishop asked me to give a talk again the day before I was supposed to give it. I settled on the topic of Forgiveness. I enjoyed studying it. I have been struggling a lot with feeling good enough out here. I realized it's true. I'm not perfect but because of Jesus Christ I can work at being better and more like Him. He is the ultimate example to us all. He picks me up when I fall short and I fall short a lot. Everytime I do I always look for ways to strengthen my testimony. I'm so very thankful for the call.
My message home for this week is this, look to Christ in all things. He is continuously blessing us and helping us, we just are sometimes too busy to notice. I ask that you look for little celestial moments in this next week. I ask that you write them down or remember them and share them for family home evening. I love and miss everyone. I'll talk more next week.
