Barrio Obrera

Elder Cuc

This week was a really good one. We had a visit from our assistant Elder Sanchez. Since, we live so far from Juarez the assistant stayed with us for a few days. Felt weird to be in a trio but it was a good few days.

Now to explain about the surprise this week . . . we had a baptism! Anna Karen Dominguez! I didn’t mention anything last week because I was just waiting for the big day. Karen is an amazing person. She is a single mother who was looking for a better path for her daughter (Jenika 5 anos).

She actually reached out to us . . . sort of ha; she walked to her neighbor’s house who are members and asked them why they never invited her to church and asked if she could go with them. She hasn’t missed a Sunday since. She has grown so fast and her daughter loves the primary!

I had the amazing opportunity to share a message in her baptism, i was going to talk about the gift of the Holy Ghost but I felt impressed to talk about my family and how the decisions that they had made to join the church affected generations to come.

Thanks to my mother and my grandparents and there decisions to follow the gospel I’m here where i am now, helping others make the similar choices. I’m so grateful for my mother and her choice to follow the gospel. You are helping generations to follow Christ just like Karen is! I never thought I’d get this chance to help others find happiness but I’m here and it’s been my greatest source of joy in all my life.

Thank you all for your help and support.

Cuidense todos!
-E. Reynolds
