La Coca Cola

Everything is great in my new area and with the new comp.

We were really focusing on finding new investigators this week but it’s been really hard here, lots of rejections.

Hey, there is something that was super cool that happened this week. I don’t know if any of you ever had a dream that you were able to bathe in your favorite drink or something but I did when I was little.

Let me tell yah it’s not as cool as it seems. Here’s how I know.

In my new area it’s really really big so we have two companionships working here. Friday we ate together. As we were leaving and saying good bye to the Zone Leaders someone thought we looked hot because they drove by and dumped Coca Cola all over us. Head to toe drenched in soda.

Well we then started the long walk home to change. This got us pretty down that day and everything that happened after that was just horrible. No one was home. No one wanted to listen to us. People told us they didn’t want to continue with lessons, etc.
We went home at about 8. Just tired and frustrated, but we felt that we should go back out and work for the last 30 minutes. So we did and guess what.

Our neighbor is golden!

We walked outside and literally as soon as I put my shoe to pavement she told us, "hey you go around teaching everyday but you never come teach me! Why is that?"

I was happy to start teaching here. She is just amazing and with this experience I have a stronger testimony that blessings really do come after a trial of faith. That was the highlight for the week.

Hopefully next week email will be longer.

Cuidese todos!

p.s. Just saw a pic of my uncle. He looks like he's trying to get down to his fighting weight again. Keep it up! We’ll have to see who’s going to win when I get home.
