helado de garafon

Hello everyone at home!

Just a little update. Went to the zoo. Pretty sad but also pretty cool. I’m not sure if it was cool because I’m a missionary who hasn't had much entertainment in the last year or so; or if it was actually cool.
Okay another update, the heat is coming in and with that come the helado de garrafon! If you haven't served in Mexico you probably have no idea what that is but let me tell yah!

It’s these guys who carry around like the 5 gallon coolers full of frozen yogurt! They have really simple flavors like lime, strawberry and mango but they are homemade! Then they have like 10 different things you can add to them. I didn’t think chili and ice cream would go together but they do and its soooooo good! The best part only 10 pesos and you’re happy all day.

In other news about the work.

We were having a pretty rough week when we started out and we got all the way to Friday and we were just bummed out. We had nothing. We had checked every house in the area we were at and nothing.

So we decided to stop by the house of Hermana Juana. I’m not sure if you remember but she is the investigator who has been going to church for 2 years because she couldn’t get the divorce to get remarried to get baptized. Well we came by her house to ask for a glass of water (because yah know it’s hot) and check up on her to see how she was doing.

She was on her way out the door so we couldn't share anything but she turned to us and said "muchachos, I’m getting baptized!" She finally got her divorce papers!

Que Milagro!

She was so excited and I had no words. There were time in these last two years that she thought she'd never be baptized and now she will be baptized on the 19th. The day of changes!

The blessing come after the trial of faith.

Cuidese todos!
