Happy New Year - Tamale Holidays

It has been awhile since I’ve been able to write anything to those at home so I’ll just start off with this Christmas!

It was a wonderful time... Very hot but it was amazing to see how much this ward cared for the missionaries and even our investigators! It was a long week and we had a lot of appointments because, well everyone wanted us to feel like we were at home! That was a big help for us (me), this was the last Christmas for my companion so he was all smiles haha.

Anyway, we ate tamales at about every meal these last two weeks! because well I guess tamales are the "thing" here at Christmas.. So I think I ate my body weight in tamales... good thing they are DELISIOUS!

I got to give a talk on Christmas which was a great because there were like only 45 people that went because.. Everyone is in Veracruz! haha anyway I shared a story that I heard last year at Christmas and I think my dad knows which one so he can maybe put a link to the story (thanks Dad). The Parable of the Three Trees:
The New Year was awesome because our district leader lost his house so they moved in with us! Best way to pass the New Year! Anyway I am sad it’s over but we have a lot planned for this year!

We have two baptisms this week! It is a part member family! We just had to wait because the father wanted to baptize his kids! Yeah, I’ll be sure to tell you more about that next week and for those who are wondering. . . JULIAN GOT BAPTISED! I wasn’t there because it was my past area but I got to talk to him! I was so happy to hear the news! From what I hear he’s doing great and is visiting new investigators with the missionaries!

That is all I got for this week
