We had quite a busy week which is good and bad! Good because, well, we were working hard bad because I can barely remember anything that happened, sorry, sorry. If I am lacking on the details here in this email.
That’s one of the weird thing about your mission, throughout the first 3-5 months you are praying every day to make the time go faster than you get to the point where you are praying to slow time down, so you can take it all in. I’m there now, hoping this call never ends and in a way it never will.
Okay, I’m going to change the subject because I don’t like thinking about how much time I have left.
Let’s talk about something super awesome! a Baptism!
This week we had baptism for Brisaly Lizeth Loera Nunez! Let me just tell yah she is amazing! She is 10 years old and her Grandma, who she lives with, is a member who was inactive until her granddaughter, Brisa, asked to go to church! She’s the sweetest little girl ever the already is sharing the gospel with others and brought one of her friends with her to her baptism who then asked if she could be baptized next week ha-ha. We told her that we will see what we can do but we'd have to talk to her parents first.
Anyway, this was a special baptism for me because Brisaly was the first of my baptisms to ask me directly to baptize her. I’ve baptized others but this one was just a little different, the Spirit during the service was so powerful and so strong I know it testified to everyone that was there.
In other news it is still hot here in Mexico, well sort of, we wake up in the mornings and want to just stay wrapped up in blankets because it’s so cold in the house. During the day we are in the streets sweating like pigs. It really has no in between here it’s either hot enough to cook eggs on the sidewalk or cold enough to be Idaho. I’m just going to have to get used to it I guess.
Oh, also I have started telling people I’m from Chiapas (a state that has a lot of gueros) they seem to believe it so I’m taking that as a good sign of my Spanish speaking ability.
