The Drop Gives Us a Gain

Salama Brothers and Sisters!!!
Hope everyone is doing well.

My week has been absolutely crazy. So right before Pday ended last Monday I got a call from the Mission President and he told me I was getting an emergency transfer because a missionary had to go home early. So, I replaced one of the Zone Leaders in the mission but the mission president said after 2 weeks in the field I definitely won’t have the title Zone Leader. Good because I really don’t know what I’m doing.

My first day of the new transfer to Antelope I had to go on a lightning exchange with a different companionship. I didn't even have a chance to get to know my companion before I left which is wack. After the lightning exchange I went to the apartment and I was just gassed but I made it through hahha.
The very next morning a General Authority showed up and gave us 7 hours of training. The training was so great and so very long haha.
Then, a few days later, we had Missionary Leadership Council which is for the ZLs and the Assistants but somehow I end up going. Honestly, I was terrified because I've only been in the field for not quite 3 weeks while everyone else has been there forever so I am the youngest by far. Then the Mission Presidency and two General Authorites show up. So I am in this room absolutely terrified and having no clue what is going on. And of course, with my luck, I was the only one called on during the entire meeting haha. The Mission President literally stood up, calling me by name and asked what my thoughts and opinions were haha.

An amazing experience this week actually started with an investigator dropping us. After we were dropped and kinda sad, we started driving back to the apartment but I told my comp that we needed to go visit this member one more time. I was just having the strongest prompting to do so. So we drive to his neighborhood and we find out it is gated and has a security guard. I tell my comp to just drive up and so we did and then we give a wave to the security guard and he just let's us in haha. Something about people in suits gets you places haha. After we drive to this member’s house and both of us feeling so good about it, we knock on his door but no one answered. We knock again and still no answer. Gosh, we were so sad and confused because the spirit was so strong. We get in the car and start to drive down the street and then just stop. We both get out of the car and find ourselves in front of 2 people on the street. We started talking to them and shared an amazing thought with them. They told us we needed to come back next week. The spirit works in mysterious ways and, thank the heavens, we listened to the prompting.

My new companion, Elder Boam, and I had a baptism this week. Her name is Dawn and she is just absolutely wonderful. She has 2 kids that are a bit older, but she has set such a great example to them.
