Spokane Washington

Elder Bowen

Hey everyone! I hope you've had a great few days since Thanksgiving. Nothing has really changed so just an update. Transfer calls came and I'm staying for a 4th transfer here in Lincoln Heights. I love it here so I can't complain at all. Casey is being baptized this Thursday so I'm super excited about that. He was such a huge miracle and I wish you all could meet him. He is a living testimony of the gospel changing a person completely. I'll make sure to send you all some pictures next week. Lastly I'm sure most of you heard about the passing of Kelle Sudweeks this week. She was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher as well. She taught me so much and I will miss her a lot. Keep her wonderful family in your prayers! Love you all, until next week!
Here's a scripture from my personal Study this week, Alma 7:11-13        "11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.         12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities. 13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me."
