Spokane Washington

Elder Bowen

Hey everyone! This week was super good. We had transfers and my new companion is Elder Bowen. He's from Orem Utah and has been our for about 18 months. We're having tons of fun already, so I'm super excited for this transfer. We found 6 new people to teach this week and saw tons of miracles. One of them was a member referral. He brought his friend Lupe to church last week and we met with them this week. We hope that we can keep meeting with him and helping him come closer to Christ. We also met this awesome guy named Marcus yesterday. Marcus is a pretty young guy and has gone through a ton in his life. He is looking to start over and really wants to make something out of his life. We were able to share about how the Atonement of Jesus Christ can cleanse him from his past mistakes and make him a new creature in Christ. He said he knows that it's not a coincidence that we met him that day and we set up a time to see him tomorrow. It was definitely a miracle to meet him when we did. I don't have much else to write, so here's a scripture that I read in my personal study this morning that I really liked. I love you all! I know God lives, and this is His church! Till next week🤟🏻Mosiah 4:11, "11 And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel."
