Hey everyone! This week literally flew by, after Sunday. In the MTC we "worship actively" which means that we have meetings from 8:00 am to about 9:00 pm. It was a packed day but we had lots of great lessons and lectures throughout it. Probably the best thing to happen to us this week was Elder Huber and I committed our TRC investigator to be baptized on his second lesson! We were teaching him about the Plan of Salvation and Elder Huber felt prompted to ask him to be baptized. He was hesitant at first because he felt he wasn't ready. We told him we understood that but then asked if he would be baptized after a few more visits and he felt ready to. He gladly accepted and said he feels that being baptized is the right thing to do. When we were supposed to meet with him yesterday, we were told we were getting a new TRC and will not be teaching the same one. So hopefully all goes well, fingers crossed. We had the opportunity to go to the temple this morning and do sealings. One of the ladies in our session was Polynesian and brought like 100 names to be done. All the names were super long and complex, and the sealer really struggled pronouncing them. We were there for an hour and a half and only finished like 50, but it was a really cool and super spiritual experience to do the temple work for so many people. Today officially marks the halfway mark for the MTC which is crazy. We got our travel plans yesterday and we fly out August 29. The craziest part about it is that I'm the trip leader, which means I have to navigate 17 missionaries though the Salt Lake Airport and account for all of them. However, I've never been on an airplane before, let alone been in an airport. So it's going to be an interesting trip for sure, wish us luck. 😅 Til next week, I love all of you guys! Love Elder Abbott
P.S oh yeah I forgot to mention I joined the MTC choir with Elder Johnson, Elder Winters, and Elder Weckesser. We sang "More Holiness Give Me" at our Tuesday night devotional. It turns out Elder Bingham and his companion also sing in it which is super cool!
