Week 10-Declaration of War.....on Cockroaches

It's official we have a bit of a cockroach thing going on. They got some size to them as well. It's not insane or anything but we have had quite a few and have done a lot of killing the last few days. Thats really the only update on bugs to be honest. We have had a ton of rain this week and our power went out about everyday this week. One time it was 3 hours but most of the time it was like an hour. The thunder and lighting was insane to and it was crazy how loud it was. It was shaking the whole room and stuff it was so cool but I think my comp was a little scared.

We spend a lot of time out walking and walking and walking. Some days I would say we have about 5 or 6 miles in just from everything. It's not as bad now for me cause I've adjusted but it's crazy how fast we go now that I'm not super super tired all the time. We haven't had any new foods but I will admit I am not a fan of papaya. I have tried to adjust but it hasen't happened yet. I did almost lose my arm to a ceiling fan. It was made of metal and we had it at about half speed when I hit it and it bruised my arm pretty well. I didn't think anything of it until we were at lunch with a member and she had done the same thing and had 15 stitches and no feeling in 2 of her fingers because of it, quite scary la verdad.

Gospel points:
Obedience - This is by far the most important aspect in our lives and the most important part of my mission. While it's hard to make that claim because theirs a lot of aspects to the mission but its a huge part. Our obedience is a sign of our faith and the greatest gift we can give God. God gave us agency in this life and giving it back to him through choosing to follow him is a huge show of faith that brings so many blessing into our lives. I experience this every day and a huge sign of that is how my Spanish is everyday. Every day we follow the rules to exactness I can speak so much better and receive the words in the moment that I need them. I testify that this is a very true promise in our lives and through our obedience we receive many many blessings. It is not easy but this life is meant to be a test and one that we must bet all our faith on day in and day out. Do the hard things to follow Christ and have his spirit, guidance and strength in your life. I love this gospel and the opportunity to give my all to Christ for 2 years. I wouldn't give it up for anything.
