Elder Rangwanasha

whats up, super tough week!!!

this week we did our light the world campaign where we just went down to the "mall" with a bunch of the YSA's and we handed out pamphlets about light the world! it went really well! however, i got super sick and was having awful stomach pains halfway through it so Elder Reay,
our fearless zone leader, and I sat in the car and we listened to a conference talk and talked. Bummy, but its okay cause the Lords work always goes on! I am always very impressed with the youth here. They are always wanting to come out with us and do missionary work with. We had YSA's all the way down to the oldest primary kids running around the mall talking to people and handing out pamphlets!

On thursday, when we always go to Sister Mathe's house, we were expecting to just have our regular book of mormon class with her and to have lunch there, but we thought wrong. We get there, and it is just scorching hot outside, i am dying of pain, sweating like crazy, and all we wanted to do was sit down and have a drink. well, we go
inside and sit down for 30 seconds and sister mathe walks in and says, "perfect youre here lets go". elder rangwanasha and I look at eachother and we both said "where are we going" and she said that she needs help in the yard. So we go outside and she gives us both shovels
and compost bags and she wanted us to move this whole tree to the other side of the yard for some reason, and it turned into gardening for her for like 3 hours while she sat in the shade and just pointed where she wanted everything. I actually enjoyed it even though it was super painful on my stomach. Oh and we ended up getting lunch out of it:)

the theme of this past week for me has been "Why?" hahaha. I have been constantly finding myself asking myself questions that start with "Why...". One thing I am trying to change about myself is that I want to start asking myself and to start thinking in a more of "How"
attitude. Idk if that makes sense but, I want to start asking myself "how" I will accomplish things instead of asking "why" I have to do them. If there is one thing that I have learned this week is that the only thing that the Lord asks of us is to TRY OUR BEST. If we do that then
everything else is left to God to take care of. D&C 124:49 :
Verily, verily, I say unto you, that when I give a commandment to any of the sons of men to do a work unto my name, and those sons of men go with all their might and with all they have to perform that work, and
cease not their diligence, and their enemies come upon them and hinder them from performing that work, behold, it behooveth me to require that work no more at the hands of those sons of men, but to accept of their offerings. I know that this gospel is true. Without this gospel, we would all be lost. My invitation to you all this week is to be active in the GOSPEL, and not just active in the CHURCH. We can all show up on Sunday and be disciples of Christ, but can you show up everyday of the
week and live as a disciple of Christ?

Love you all
