🌸Lessons of Spring🌸

안녕하세요!

여러분, I love spring!! Not only does it mean warm weather, flowers, and beautiful tree blossoms, but Spring is a powerful symbol of rebirth, and overcoming cold and dark days.

No matter how terribly cold winter was, flowers bloom and trees bud every year, like clockwork. Spring for me is a powerful reminder for why we need hope! And that our hope is not vain! During cold winter days I look forward with a steadfastness of hope that it's going to be warm soon. And that the garden will look full and bright. So too will the garden of our lives be restored when our Spring comes again.

Thinking of flowers obviously makes me think of one of my favorite scriptures. Matthew 6: 28 & 30 - "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin... Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he not provide for you, if ye are not of little faith?"

The lilies will grow and dance every year. The cherry blossoms will bloom and capture our hearts every year. As a child of God, aren't we more precious than foliage? Likewise, then will God remember the day of our Spring, and give us beauty for ashes, blossoms for broken branches, flowers for withered reeds. He will mend our broken hearts by the merits of Him who is mighty to save, even Jesus Christ 🌸🌷💐

This has been pretty sweet, like ice cream 🍦 we've been meeting and teaching well with our dear dear friends, and they're progression towards Jesus makes me so, so happy :)) We've also been doing a lot of finding. I'm definitely a lot better at it now than I was a year ago. I don't know, it just makes me happy to meet happy people and make connections with them and help them feel the Spirit even with just a few minutes of interaction. Since Easter is coming up, we've been passing out these 예픈 Easter pass along cards. And since there's SO many people who walk along the river to see the cherry blossoms, we've been handing them out non stop.

While finding, I finally did something I've had on my bucket list since November: Going to this SUPER pretty Cafe in the mountains, and playing the piano that they have. Oh my goodness, it was magical. My favorite was sitting on the bench with 3 other kids, we played a pretty radical song together, wish you could've heard it 😎 But yeah, K Drama songs, 아리랑 (super pretty traditional Korean folk song, "Arirang"), original compositions, and then ending with playing my favorite hymns, while my companion Elder Baird sang. What a memory,, looking out at this extraordinary view of the city, scattered with beautiful blossoming trees, and playing and singing our testimony that I know Families Can Be Together Forever and that we are Children of God....
✨️Core Memory✨️
An adorable table of grandmas especially enjoyed the show 💕

General Conference was great! It's definitely a different experience in Korea, especially since we're on the other side of the world. So I'm still catching up, but I've been loving it so much so far ^^ my favorite talk was by Elder Carl B. Cook. He talked about never giving up, even when you want to run away. I related so much to that feeling. But it's true, it's always so good when you stick around in faith :))

Thanks for hanging out!! You're the best, I love you and miss you 🙆‍♂️🩵
Have a great week!! 사랑해요 ^^
