This week twas most ✨delectable✨

Tuesday we traveled to a really fascinating college. Super in the middle of no where, traveling on a new bus route an hour west, and then poof!! This super hip looking place. While we were there Elder Patterson and I handed out as many EnglishConnect cards as we could. So just a culture fact, it is very uncommon for strangers to just make conversation. So most of our interactions when talking to people go a little something like this:

Us: 안녕하세요~

Them:
👀

🏃💨

Always fun. Just makes us treasure the moments even more when we do find someone who's willing to talk with us :)
On my journey, I've learned the importance of not taking missionary work personally. It's not about you. It's about the Lord. They're not rejecting you, they're, rejecting Him. I love the counsel Christ gives in John 15, "If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me." (verses 18-21). This was Christ's counsel to the 12 Apostles before suffering the atonement and then being crucified. Such powerful words. It's so comforting to know the sad but triumphant truth that we are never alone in the cross we bear. Because Christ has suffered all things. And the day-to-day physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual exhaustion I experience is NOTHING compared to what Jesus had to go through.
So, I don't take it personal one bit when I get ignored, or laughed at, or scolded. It has zero effect. Because I represent Jesus Christ, and I plead with the Father to forgive them, because "they know not Him that sent me." 🤍

My favorite bit of news is about the awesome man from last week who stopped us in traffic. His name is Kim Bo-Yun, and he's one of the funnest people I've met in Korea. He's super quick and just super energetic, we love meeting with him! Because we've met with him 4 times already! In less than a week!! He loves cars, especially Toyota, so he's always saying "Alright, let's go places!"
He's a father to 3 adorable little girls, and this Sunday he came to church!! And he brought 2 of his daughters with him! A 6 year old and 3 year old. Our primary leaders were so exstatic to hear that children would be coming, because the current size of our primary is only TWO KIDS and just like that our primary doubled #stonks 📈

We've had amazing meetings with our dear friend, we've taught a lot about why families are so important to God and in our Church. We've taught about the Restoration, and about why we have temples. And why baptism is an essential step to coming closer to Christ.
Oh man, the Spirit that enters the room when someone is willing to listen to the truth of the Gospel is exciting beyond description :))

And I know that EVERYONE can take part of that exciting feeling too!! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US has been reserved for this final crucial hour to Gather Israel. The Prophets from the beginning have seen our day, and our dear prophet today continues to remind us of our purpose and the sacred responsibility we have.

The veil has never been thinner, because we need all the help we can get in order to prepare the earth for the Second Coming of the Savior Jesus Christ!! Please look for the angels in your lives. Our angels are our loved ones and ancestors on the other side!! isn't that just incredible?? Isn't that so lovely and comforting to know?? I know that they're here with us 여러분!! 🤍✨
My long time favorite general conference quote by Jeffery R. Holland:
Keep loving
Keep trying
Keep trusting
Keep believing
Keep growing
🌟HEAVEN🌟 is cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever 🤍💫
