Easter, Magic Tricks, & the Best Food

안녕하세요 여러분♥ As I type this email, my companion is getting a sick haircut, and the song "My boo" is playing. So to put it plainly, I'm doing great.

This week went by crazy fast! It's so so fun to meet with Korean people, they are some of the kindest people I've ever met. Ooooooh snap now Halo by Beyonce is playing. What is this place?? Haha sorry folks. I've had a great week full of the most delicious meals in homes, and restaurants, and on the street. Korean food is actually so good. I can already tell I'm going to miss it so much, but good thing I still have pretty much 2 years here.
Even though I have no idea what 99% is being said, I love being with people. And I pick up a little bit every day, little by little.

My favorite was Wednesday night, we got a call from this man, 이정덕 (ee jeong-deok) and I LOVE Him!! He's one of the griddiest people I've met, and he called because he used to be taught by the missionaries and now he wants to be taught again. He called us out of the blue, I didn't catch everything said, but I did catch him say this. "선교사님.....사랑해요.....i love you" to which we said "저도요!!" we do too!! Oh it was so funny, he's just this funny ball of joy :) he told us he wanted to take us to dinner IMMEDIATELY and so we got up and left, (and he paid for our meal - so kind) and then we went to his home, he and his girlfriend were so nice. We taught them about the Book of Mormon. He was very eager to have a copy. And at the very end, after thousands of Korean words went over my head, I gave my super simple and humble testimony. I said "I don't know everything. But I know that we're all children of God. And God loves us all. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. And I know that if we follow Jesus, we will live with God again." It ain't much, but it's honest work <3

I also loved Sunday. This was my first time meeting the branch, they're all such wonderful happy families and individuals. I love giving the kids high fives, one of them showed me this super awesome magic trick, and then I tried to show him one, he figured out how I did it though. I our meeting, they had me go up and speak. It was really sweet to see everyone's supportive smiles as I spoke. It was really amazing, I surprised myself, I know the Lord was literally holding my hand in that moment haha. I shared a scripture and talked a little about it. So many sweet people came up and said how good my Korean is for only being in Korea for 1 week. Sometimes I do need to stop myself and go "oh yeah, I've literally only been here for 1 week" haha.

The faith and testimony of the members here is beautiful🤍 I can't wait to get to know them better :))

I hope you're all doing well. I love you all, and am so grateful for your prayers. It means more than you could understand. I hope you all had a sweet Easter, I hope we all continhe to remember the Saviors sacrifice and what that means for us.
If your curious, the scripture I shared was John 16:33, it's pretty sweet 😊

OK, 다음주에 봐요 여러분!! Lots of love <33
