I wanted to update you on how I'm doing. I'm feeling a lot better as my thought have been focused on the savior. Yes my greenie fire has worn off but my work ethic has not. I will always be a hard worker and ambitious. Our area is on FIRE! We had 14/40 lessons taught with members present out of our zone and 7/22 investigators at sacrament meeting for the whole zone! A third!!!! that's so awesome! We had a family at church from ethiopia! Their names are so weird but we love them! Meklit and Dagmawi are the children's names and the mom is named Elsa. We're so happy because of our labors. I want to be like Nephi and Lehi (Helaman's sons) and baptize 8,000 people! Missionary work is a lot better when you're happy and you can see the success. The picture of a family I used to teach is the Dodo family from Angola. They speak portuguese and really love the gospel (The children do). We had them many times at church and general conference. They even gave me a christmas gift of REALLY nice chocolate! The children want to be baptized but the people that are taking care of them are less active and don't really want anything to do with missionaries.....they don't have much of a support system, So we were not able to get them baptized in our time at Katutura. They will be baptized! I know it. We have 3 people on date to be baptized right now. Janice Tobias, Jean Pierre (from DRC) and Calvin. I hope I can see them baptized as their dates fall in the next transfer. We're going to Joe's again to eat Crocodile, ostrich, kudu, zebra next week on monday.. It will be fun. We get tons of Gemsbok for mince as it's much cheaper than beef. It's really really tasty. I wish you could try it. I think you're right. I need a rest today. Our zone activity is yet again...soccer...I'm getting tired of boring zone activities but it's not my choice. I finished the book of mosiah so I'm 2/5's done of the book of mormon. Enclosed is a picture of my scriptures that got covered by brother farmer. Crocodile on front and back and blue wildebeest....I call them my spiritual crocodiles as it is the exact animals from Boyd K. Packer's "Spiritual Crocodiles." That movie I have and share it often on mission. I really like it so I wanted to get scriptures that reminded me of it and my African mission. The other scriptures are lion, leopard and cheetah. also the hymn book is rhino and springbok. I've got my other scriptures covered in hippo and leopard. I get them this week. I really need to go shop so we have food for the week now! I love you all! I hope you keep me in your prayers as I do for you! I love you! I'll write tons more next week. This week I was busy reading the long letter from mom :) I loved it. It has helped me and I will print it off. I love you! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!Love,Elder Nilsson Mosiah 18:21
