Eventful day. Woke up at 5 to leave the MTC at 6:30. I'm grateful for the MTC and all the lessons it taught me but I'm glad I'm out. We took the bus to the train to another train to the airport. It took forever but it was nice to rest and talk to other people.
Once we got to the airport Elder Long bought me some Smash burger which is the best food I've had in like 3 weeks because MTC food gets old real frickin quick. I had to wait at the airport in Vancouver because everyone was getting their Visa's which took about 3 bloody hours. Never been so bored in my life. After that wait was over we got picked up and I got to meet the mission president Wahlen and his wife and the rest of the missionaries that came down.
I was the last assigned and my first companion in my mission is with Elder Rogers. He's been out 23 months and this is his last transfer although he isn't even thinking about home.

First full day on the field. It feels weird. I remember waiting for these days my whole life and now I'm actually here. Very weird feeling it is definitely. We drove 4 hours from our Mission home to KAMLOOPS. The loops is my first area and Elder Rogers is my first companion and my trainer. Elder Floyd was also called to Kamloops and his trainer Elder Cowan, was Elder Rogers greenie from last transfer so we are like a family here.
Kamloops is really spread out, sometimes we drive like 5 minutes to go proselyting or 20 minutes away it's crazy. Knocking on doors was weird at first but I'll try and get used to it.

Today was my first full day here in Kamloops. Some good stuff and some tough stuff. Our ward mission leader in the 2nd ward which is our ward owns and operates a Petro-Canada/A&W so whenever missionaries come we get a free meal its the best thing ever. We have a couple promising people for baptism. There's the Fullerton kids who could be baptized in a month also there's a 17 year old boy named Bennett who has autism but has taken all discussions. I've been told it's hard to teach him because he is slow to understand what is being said but he is also really promising.
Finding today was hard. We knocked for like 2 hours and really no one answered which was really discouraging. I guess it's just one of those days. But General Conference is tomorrow so I must be happy.

General Conference day! So many good talks. I can't remember who said what I'll get to review them again later when they come out. It's so cool watching General Conference as a missionary. It's such a different perspective than if I wasn't. After general Conference we met with Bennett. He is so close to baptism but he wants to really make sure it's the right thing to do. He wants to know for assurity that God has forgiven his sins.

Today was the last session of General Conference. So good. I really enjoyed Peter M. Johnson's talk. So simple yet so emotionally charged. He spoke with real character. Also Brother Holmes I think said the closing prayer and I've talked with him before so that was so cool.
We headed up to Kelowna today for Zone PDAY. I met the Zone Leaders McKay and Campbell they are way too funny but they also are really good at teaching. Zone seems fun. Also Elder Tatlow is also in this zone and he is from Raymond lol.
