The lesson I learned in the temple
I really just want to share one experience that I had this week! Today I had the grand opportunity to go to the Temple! We were all stressed before going didn’t know if we were going to make it to the 11 am session and I didn’t want to wait another hour. Well I think God just had it planned for us be we got in the waiting room and they had just entered the session. The first thing that came to my mind was now we have to wait another HOUR before the session. And we were all stressed before and now with not making it well I really felt God was trying to humble me. I decided to go to Jacob and start reading from there and found this scripture that really touched my heart.
18 But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God.
19 And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good—to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted.
I really need to be looking for the Kingdom of God and the best place to do that is in the Temple! I forgot about the time and everything that was making me stressed and just said okay I am here for God and to become closer to him. He wants me to be Happy like he commanded Adam and Eve. I ended up leaving with a different mind set of going to the temple and how I had an amazing hour to read the scriptures! To prepare myself before going into the session. I invite everyone to follow the Prophet and sacrifice some time to go! We all have time to do it. There are no excuses. He promises us that if we seek him first all the rest will line up perfectly.
