This week was a good one here in TKO as always. As you can tell from the subject line we still have investigators.
This week was a little worrisome because some of our investigators stopped answering the phone. For a while we were getting pretty worried, thinking that we lost them forever and that they decided they don't want to continue learning. Luckily it turns out that they were just traveling outside of Hong Kong so our phones couldn't reach them.
We had a really neat experience this week. This week one of our members who works in mainland came to our sports night for the first time. At the same time an investigator from mainland also happened to come to sports night. It was pretty neat because she was leaving the next morning to mainland and our member was able to help her get in contact with members in mainland and answer a ton of her questions.
It is super neat how the Lord will place us where we need to be to bless the lives of others. This week has been great hope y'all are well.
Fun fact 1: Elder Ashton is glad he isn’t where it’s 118 (here's looking at you AZ relatives) but he says he still ends up covered in sweat walking to church or being outside. Humidity and heat for him!
Fun fact 2: He says his Cantonese is coming along. He reports that he definitely understands more than before, so he’s improving. He loves it in Hong Kong!
Fun fact 3: While his mom may have been a little worried he went through a typhoon last week, he said it wasn’t bad. Just a really hard rain and trees shaking around, but they were inside.
No pictures from Elder Ashton but some of the amazing members in Hong Kong take some and tag Mom on Facebook so these show Elder Ashton in action. Looks like they had a sports night and a dinner appointment.
