Kwai Chung

Elder Jepsen

This week was another good week here in HK! It was pretty normal, but still good. This week we taught some lessons and got some finding in.

One cool thing this week though, we were coming back from a family home evening last night and this dad and his son just came up to us and were like 'hey can you help us with this homework?' We helped him and then we got to know them and hopefully we will meet them again sometime this week. It was just great because here the people hardly ever just walk up to you and give you their information. I guess the young man had met missionaries on the street before but nothing ever really happened, but it prepared him to meet us now. It just lets me know that your efforts as a missionary are never wasted, if even if someone turns you down one day your reaching out to them may open up a future opportunity for them.

Also, this week we taught a really good lesson about the Book of Mormon. The book is so great! It is such a privilege to help people to come to know about the divinity of Christ and understand God's love for them though the Book of Mormon. As we taught, I reflected on some of the other times I had taught about the Book of Mormon and I remembered just how great a blessing the Book of Mormon is. It literally will change anyone with a sincere heart's life for the better. The Book of Mormon is so true and such a blessing!

Anyway, hope you guys have a great week!

Elder Ashton

Fun fact 1: He has one more p-day before he comes home! He said it feels weird to know he's almost done.

Fun fact 2: Because he has such a short time left, he said he's been eating out a lot, savoring the food of Hong Kong. (of course, then he sends me a picture of them at McDonalds, haha!)

Fun fact 3: Elder Ashton arrives home January 25th and will speak in church along with his sister (who comes home from her mission Feb 12th) on February 17, 2019 at 9 am. All are welcome! We'll also have a little celebration for any who want to come visit that same day at noon at our home.

Thank you so much for all the prayers, letters, support, and love so many of you have shared over the past 2 years!
