Hey so this week has been a super awesome one here in TST/KLC area full of new things.
This week was the first time I got to go to mission leadership council (MLC), with a new mission president. It was so great!
One thing that I thought was interesting was that as I sat in the "Meet the President" meeting and mission leadership council, was that I felt the confirmation of the spirit that he is our new president.
Also, one thing that I learned in MLC was from the story of Christ healing Lazarus. One thing that President Phillips pointed out was that there were some people that had faith that Christ could heal him and they rolled away the stone in front of the tomb. He pointed out that all miracles come from Christ and are preformed by his power, but sometimes to facilitate a the miracle we need to act in faith and roll away the stone. Christ has all power unto working miracles among men, we just have to have to have the faith to receive and enable the miracles.
Anyway, hope that made sense. Have a great week!
Fun fact 1: He explained that he is over missionaries in two areas-which includes 2 districts of missionaries, and it covers five wards. I think.
Fun fact 2: He said that in addition to regular missionary work, as a zone leader he has a lot of phone calls and coordination, meetings and prep work for training. He also said it was pretty fun and he gets to learn a lot. So that's good!
Fun fact 3: He also sent a bunch of pictures of what I think are sort of proverbs or idioms. Made me think about the weird things we say in English that probably make no sense to non-English speakers.
